Discovery Commons is a beautiful facility with warm and welcoming staff. The atomsphere is welcoming and the environment is clean. The staff is warm and friendly. This is a true assest to the senior citizens in the St. Mary's County community.

My wife works with Discovery Commons at Wildewood. She really likes her job there. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I see nothing but care given to the seniors who live there.

I have worked at DCW for a year and a half. I worked first as an Activities Assistant and now as the Business Office Manager. Many of the residents are well traveled and have the stories to tell. The staff are a rainbow of personalities. Directors work hard to become great leaders and the Executive Director is a force to be reckoned with. All in all I really, really enjoy working at DCW.

This community has higher standards than any other retirement community I have seen. The care managers are kind, professional and compassionate with each and every resident. The food is created from scratch and served with care. It is a comfortable atmosphere for family to visit.

I couldn’t have found a better place to work then DCAW!! I have worked in several different facilities and not one compares to DCAW. The love and care our Caremanagers give to our community is worth one and a million. It goes to show that there are still people out there who really have a heart of gold and aren’t just there for the paycheck. Shoutout to the Awesome Managers!!! And of course to Memeory Care!!!!!

As a employee at DCAW we treat everyone as if they were our own family, with the most care love and respect. We proved the best care for the families making your loved one feel at home with fun activities, holidays party, spirit weeks and more being apart of this company is amazing and lets not forget all the director’s who is very understanding and wants to show every a great opportunity to do great in life.

Our mother has lived at Discovery Commons for over five years and the care, thoughtfulness, and, in some cases, love her caregivers and so many of the staff show is clear. Our mother's dementia has her in a more or less contented state of mind, but forming new friendships seems pretty much impossible. That is, however, except for the cases of warm and loving relationships she has developed with many members of the Discovery Commons staff. I am so glad we found Discovery Commons when we did and that they could immediately accommodate our mom with a very nice room. Some of her caregivers have been with her from the start and it means so much that they really know her and look out for her very individual and personal needs.

My parents moved in together because of my mother's Parkinson's Disease and dementia. My father passed away while in there a couple of years ago, but my mother is still in the Memory Care section of the facility. Those at Discovery Commons at Wildewood have taken such great care of my parents! Their genuine love for my parents, now just my mom, has been evident and gives us comfort knowing they are in great hands. They are always responsive to our questions and concerns, ensuring my mother's care is the very best!
