Well-Designed Apartments and Outdoor Features
Installed with emergency alert systems, our apartments at Discovery Commons Cypress Point ensures that your loved ones have immediate access to medical attention, regardless of whether they’re alone or with a caregiver. Other safety features include low-pile carpeting throughout the rooms that minimize the risk of slipping, spacious bathrooms, and in-unit thermostat control, which allows your loved ones to adjust the room’s temperature whenever they desire. For our Assisted Living option, residents have six floor plans to choose from: the 355-square-feet Brookshire, the 380-square-feet Breezewood, the 410-square-feet Calusa, the 455-square-feet Blueway, the one-bathroom and one-bedroom Captiva, and the two-bedroom and one-bathroom Tarpon. For our Memory Care option, there’s the one-bathroom suite Osprey.
Like our apartments, the outdoor grounds are also designed to provide a clean and healthy environment for our residents. The well-manicured lawn is maintained by our Impressions Housekeeping and Maintenance team on a weekly basis, who also clean the apartments.
Daily Activities and Events
It’s common for loved ones to feel bored and lose a sense of purpose in their lives as they get older or live out their retirement years. This can be attributed to the fact that loved ones may not have many exciting things to look forward to and there’s a general lack of activities happening. Therefore, we make sure our residents have a fulfilling lifestyle by providing a social schedule packed with recreational offerings. Planned and designed by our full-time Activities Director, our activities and events not only deliver fun and enjoyment to your loved ones but also improve their overall health. We also offer scheduled day trips and outings to town in order to provide a change of scenery every once in a while and to allow loved ones to have a sense of freedom.
On-Site Medical Services
Whether your loved ones are under our Assisted Living or Memory Care living options, we understand that medical assistance and attention are required 24/7 in order for them to get better, both physically and mentally. As such, under our Dimensions Health and Fitness program, we offer on-site rehabilitation services, therapy sessions, and wellness classes, so that loved ones can work towards a higher quality of life. All these services also come with an around-the-clock professional medical team that consists of doctors, nurses, and caregivers.
